Longing for Football Season..

Bring on the chicken wings and beer…I’m ready for college football season to start!! I’m definitely over basketball season and the Lakers/Celtics matchup. I need Tebow and Urban to bring a bright smile to my face. I think that this is going to be a big year for Gator football. Tebow is a seasoned vet now, and we have a brand new defensive line-up that should be much better than last year!

The game that I’m most looking forward to this year is the Miami/Florida game. Last time these two teams matched up…it was New Years Eve, and Miami beat us, ruining the Brunjes’ New Years Eve party. It will be fun to beat Miami in the Swamp. I just can’t wait.

Go Gators!!

Al Horford has played like a champ in the playoffs! I’m so excited to watch the NBA now! He’s been a key figure in making the mediocre Atlanta Hawks a contender with the mighty Boston Celtics. Mike and I have been watching a little bit of this playoff series. I’m so proud to be a Gator when I watch Al Horford play.  He barely missed out on being rookie of the year . Kevin Durant beat him out, because he averaged 20 points per game. I still think Al Horford is the best thing that’s happened since sliced bread. Here’s a great article on my buddy Al..

Gator Boys will be missed

As I was reading this article, I could definitely relate to the same sentiments that this little girl felt. Even though, I was incredibly excited that we won yet another National Championship; I was also bummed out because I knew that we probably wouldn’t win one next year.

Ever since, I became a gator fan in 2003, my life has never been the same since. I remember when Mike and I were still dating, and I went to my first Gator football game. It was so exhilarating to be in the Swamp for the first time… the crisp, cool air, 90,000 screaming fans, and watching Chris Leak throw his first completion. At that moment, I knew I was sold.

In the four years that I’ve been a Gator fan, I’ve been pretty spoiled. We had one terrible, football season…and then between basketball and football, we now have three National Championships under our belt. I don’t think I can ever go back to the days of watching Zooker call a bubble screen..and having a semi-mediocre season. Is it wrong to want National Championships every year? Winning is so much fun…and I guess I just don’t wanna see the good times end.

Anyways, I look forward to what the future holds for the Gators, and I definitely can’t wait to see what this guy does.
