Life List!

November 29, 2007 at 4:21 am | Posted in Uncategorized | Leave a comment

So in addition to hopefully completing a marathon in January, it looks like I am also about to complete one of my other life list experiences! One of my other things that I wanted to do before I die is to see Bruce Springsteen in concert…and guess what?!!? He’s coming to Orlando April 19th! I’m so excited! This is basically all that my parents and I are buying for each other for Christmas. The Arnones live for the Boss. My mom loved Bruce Springsteen in college, and passed down her love for him to me. I remember every Saturday morning, my mom would blare “Born in the U.S.A.” or “Dancing in the Dark” while she was cleaning. I think it’s funny to think that a lot of positive family memories I have are associated with Bruce Springsteen. I cannot wait to see Bruce live! I hope he brings the E-street band along with him too! Did I mention I was excited??m_4deb0b03cf1740b3916e51ac46744db7.jpg

Can I ever get past 15 miles???

November 28, 2007 at 2:30 am | Posted in Uncategorized | 2 Comments

I’ve come to a marathon training stand still. After I ran 15 miles, I became very laxadaisical in my training/running. I skipped many of my weekday runs and also some of my long runs. I have tried to 18 miles for the last two weeks and have failed miserably. Last week, I did 12 miles, and tonight I did 9. Booo for me…

Not that excuses are any excuse for my laziness, but my dad was in the hospital, and I am in the middle of switching jobs, blah blah blah…I just need to get my head out of my ass and just do it! Never attempt to run 18 miles on a treadmill by the way…it’ll make you wanna kill yourself, because you’re so bored.

I’m excited though, because I am running in Lyndsey’s place this Sunday in the half-marathon that is happening on Palm Beach Island. I’m hoping that this will breathe life into my running/marathon motivation. I’m fading fast…

Watch More Dax Flame videos on Youtube. They’re hilarious, if you like real uncomfortable humor like The Office.

Prayer Needed

November 19, 2007 at 9:59 pm | Posted in Uncategorized | 1 Comment

Please pray for my pops as he is in the hospital right now. My dad had a hernia surgery last November that never fully healed. In the last week, he has contracted an infection and is now in need of another surgery. He has to get the mesh removed from where it was holding in his hernia. My dad is definitely in need of prayers and encouragement.

He is a trooper, and I hope he will rebound from this health setback as he has done so many times in the past. Other additional health issues that he needs prayer for also include his battle with diabetes, and also that his cancer will continue to remain in remission. Thank you so much for your prayers!

Has anyone listened to WRMF lately??? It has really good music now. It has some middle school/high school favorites..like Third Eye Blind, Goo Goo Dolls, The Verve, etc. I love it.

Is this going to be our oldies music that we listen to when we’re 50???

A good week…

November 3, 2007 at 8:15 pm | Posted in Uncategorized | Leave a comment

I had a really good birthday week. Even though, the FL/GA game was a bummer, the Gator basketball team did really well. I think the score was 91-54 or something. I got a super cool kayak for my birthday! Mike and I are going out tomorrow afternoon to the Macarthur State park.

THe Brunjes took us to a Heat game which is always fun. They played really well without Dwayne Wade, I foresee good things for the HEat this year.

Oh ya! and I finished my fifteen miles..I was tearing up towards the end, because I was in so much pain, but it felt good to finish. Anyways..I hope you all had a good week too!
