Creepy Mormon Guy for President!

Even though, Mitt Romney kind of makes my skin crawl in a very uncomfortable way, I have decided that I will vote for him. I do this though with much reluctancy as I somewhat envision Mitt Romney as a creepy antichrist figure that you might read about in a Tim Lahey novel. I can’t get over the fact that he’s a mormon. I think it makes me feel uncomfortable because the Mormon ideology is basically a cult. I don’t even think that you count it as a viable religion.

With all of this put aside, Mitt Romney shares all of the same fiscal values that I do. He wants to lower taxes, increase jobs, end outsourcing, and pull us out of economic recession. Along with this, he shares my pro-life, and anti-same sex marriage values. Mitt Romney also lead Massachusetts, (which is one of the most liberal states) out of debt, and got them to catch a vision for his leadership.

Another thing that is very important to me is to finish well in Iraq, and I believe that he is the best man to see this project through. I don’t think we should give up on what we started in Iraq, and I think he wants to see America succeed in this as well. So, it is with a much reluctant heart that I say…Vote Creepy Mormon Guy in the Primaries Tomorrow!!

The Gators beat Vanderbilt today 86-64. That’s a 23 point lead. Crazy. The announcers were saying all throughout the game, that the Gators deserve to be one of the top 25 teams. Our team is starting to gel more than ever. They play unselfishly, they make rebounds, they create turnovers, and hit the three like nobody’s business. It’s great to be a Florida Gator!!!Our next game is Arkansas, which is another difficult team to beat. Hopefully, we can keep up the momentum…]

I thoroughly enjoyed myself at the Debate. It was hands down one of the coolest things that I’ve ever had the chance to experience. My only problem was that I agreed with everything that everyone had to say. If I had to choose though, I think I’ve narrowed it down to either Mitt Romney or Mike Huckabee. Both of them are fiscally and socially conservative, and I think that either one of them would make excellent presidents.

Can Anyone Say Excited??

January 24, 2008 at 12:52 am | Posted in Uncategorized | 3 Comments

One of the perks of being a Brunjes is that I get invited to all of the cool things that they do. Mr. Brunjes, (dad in-law) belongs to the National Press Association and happened to score tickets to the Republican debates that are going to be held at Florida Atlantic University. I’m so excited! I’m unbelievably undecided as far as to who I’m going to vote for. This will be a good time to make a decision.

Right now, I’ve got a few candidates that I’m kind of thinking about…John McCain, Huckabee, or Ron Paul. They all have their pro’s and con’s. John McCain has the military experience, Huckabee pulls at my religious loyalties, and Ron Paul stands for personal liberties. If only, I could have a candidate that embodied all three of these qualities. The decision would be easy. Anyways..I will be sure to update you all, well that is if anyone reads this, as to how the debate went.

So Mike and I decided that we weren’t going to watch the game until Monday, and we went out to dinner with some people while we were in Graceville visiting.Well, we couldn’t wait and decided to wrap up dinner early to catch the second half, and I’m so glad we did! What a nailbiter! With two seconds left..and I what I thought was a for sure W in the recordbooks, Bradley knocks down a three.

My heart dropped in my stomach, because I just didn’t think we could keep up the intensity in overtime. I am so proud of the baby Gators!

They really have so much fight in them and an unwillingness to give up!They certainly don’t have the magic and the talent that Horford, Green, and Noah had..but they play with a lot of heart, which I think will get them a long way. GO GATORS!!!

P.S. I Love You

Mike and I had a date night last night and we decided to see P.S. I Love You. I thought it was going to be kind of hokey and cheesy, but it was so different. It’s a real tear-jerker, so be prepared. It really makes you appreciate your husband, boyfriend, or significant others in general. I thought the movie realistically portrayed what marriage is like, and how much your husband or spouse is such an integral part of everything that you are. It was a beautiful movie that I definitely recommend that everyone sees!!    697_main.jpg
