Toby Keith

Last Friday I took one of my little guys from the group home to the Toby Keith concert at the Cruzan Ampitheatre. I’ve never been a huge fan of Toby Keith, but I have to admit he put on an awesome show! We got handicapp accessible seating, and Brian couldn’t sit in the regular chairs, so we got to be right in front of the stage! It was incredible! He sang right to Brian and tossed him one of his guitar pics! Brian was so excited. It made my year to see him so happy.

Montgomery Gentry opened for Toby Keith, and they were even better. If they come around again, and you like country music, you definitely need to go see them. What a show…

Sorry about the sideways pictures…I don’t know how to fix that. Any suggestions are welcomed.

  1. Aw Apes… that’s your favorite man! I love that picture of Brian… so happy!

  2. This is why I love Toby so much. He always pays attention to the kids, and the military. I’m so glad he aknowledged Brian. He’s a super great guy. Brian looks like he was having a blast.

  3. Montgomery Gentry is from Central KY. I used to watch Troy Gentry perform in a small bar in Lexington. Eddie Montgomery is John Michael Montgomery’s brother. I met John Michael a couple of times when he was a nobody. He did “I Swear” and “Life’s A Dance.” Glad to see your KY roots coming through as you become a country music fan. :)

  4. did toby sing “i wanna talk about me’? im a closet fan. shhhhh, dont tell anyone!

  5. Thank you for your positive comments after admitting that you’d “never been a huge fan of Toby’s”. You were very gracious with your review. Toby really is a genuine, kind person and I’m very glad he made your Brian smile. Stick around – he’ll grow on you.
